Get your feathers on!

This post is a month overdue, I actually started writing this back in November as you can see by the date (that is the date I started it not posted it) but just never had the time to finish it ever since I found a new job. Anyways, enjoy! *winkz* xxx
Miley Cyrus wearing feather earrings
Feather earrings have been a new favourite or alternative to many ladies, like above Miley Cyrus looking very stylish there. Feather shoes is also another thing that is becoming more popular to many ladies- see below.

Jimmy Choo Feather shoes

I love this Jimmy Choo's shoes!!
What about on clothes? Feather skirt, feather dress, feather top, etc. Sounds like a bird costume huh? Feather clothings are probably going to be as popular as faux fur with us ladies. You may have already seen some feather clothing in places like Zara, celebrity wearing them at some events or on a runway.

Feather top dress @ Kaboodle- absolutely loves this!

Versace Fall 2011 Collection
When I first read about feather skirts, I was thinking 'errr...maybe for fancy dress party.' But I changed my mind after watching America's Next Top Model All Star Cycle 17, where Bianca Golden was wearing it on episode 1. It looked really cute, chic, hot! Been trying to find a picture of her wearing it to show you guys.

I have two tops that is similar to feathers that my mum bought for me a year ago when she went Hong Kong. At that time, she said that these kind of feather material are all over the place, every girl in Hong Kong are wearing those. At first sight, I thought I don't want to look like a chicken or bird. After trying it on, I thought it looked O.K. But still it's not something I would wear so often.

I know this is bad quality, my boyfriend took this picture with my iPhone.
This top doesn't really have any special cutting just loose and straight, so I matched it with a thin belt to give myself a bit of curve round the waist area. I know still doesn't look like I have a waistline there, but in real life I did. The top just doesn't flatter my body in pictures.
Close up of the top- I'm proper posing lol!
A close up of the white top. It's not exactly whole pieces of feathers knitted onto a top, I guess it's a cheap version of it. Haha. But it does look like baby feathers of a chick though.

My other feathery top
This one doesn't have as much "feathers". I like this one because it has more shape to it and the shoulders are slightly padded. I know I should really upload a better photo than this in order to show the top but too lazy. And I didn't fill in my eyebrows enough...oh dear!

So would you try feathery skirt or top?

Versace for H&M hit the street today!

Window Display of Versace for H&M

Today was the launch of Versace for H&M collection and yes, I went but no I didn't camp outside the night before. This is my very first time to go to something like this, queuing up for exclusive products.

I went to the H&M at Westfield Stratford City, I arrived about 9am- yes that's late. I saw the queue but it wasn't very long though. I was getting happy, thinking no need to queue for so long. Then I realised it's because people have been given wrist bands with a time slot on it. I went to collect a wristband and my time was 11:33am! I was thinking 'are you joking?' in a way that I have to wait for two hours and not everything will be gone.

I got the Silver time slot

On the wristband it states that everyone is only allowed to purchase 1 item of each product and can only shop in there once. But for some reason, people in the queue were carrying some clothes from the collection already. Hm?

At first, I thought H&M had a certain amount of stock for the early birds and once it's open for public they will restock everything. And of course it's not like that, once it's gone it's gone!
I really did underestimate it. I mean I knew there would be a lot of people but didn't think time slots would have filled up so quick-almost filled up anyway- by 9am. So I guess I was lucky to even get one because when I was queuing up (11am) there were still people wondering how to get the wristbands.
The queue
While I was queuing I still didn't fear about items being out of stock. Only until a security guard said to everyone in the queue that 'there is not much stock left'. That is when I started getting angry and impatient. A late reaction, I know. Finally it was my turn and this is me thinking 'is that it!?'. I was expecting it to be a small room packed with clothes or at least a bigger section filled with the collection. It was literally four shelves of Versace. But that's because the rest are gone and that was what was left. All the big bags were gone, only the little ones were left. No jewels either. I was going to take pictures of the collection but too many people hogging the clothes, really hard to take a picture. Also, it was such a rush didn't have time to do SO. We only had 10 minutes to shop and it was timed. It was like a game, we were constantly being informed about the time by a staff.- 'You have 10 minutes to shop...You have 7 minutes left...You have 2 minutes left'.

So what did I buy? I didn't managed to buy what I wanted- the furry gilet waist coat, it was out of stock! But didn't want to queue for nothing so I had to get at least one item which I could probably sell on eBay even if I don't like it. I bought the Stampa dress, not usually what I would go for but I thought I'll wear something out of my comfort zone for the very first time.

Stampa Dress £79.99, came with a nice hanger  with Versace written across it
Model wearing the Stampa Dress and Stampa Leggings

Tried it on and you know what? It was not bad, quite nice actually. But definitely it's a summer dress.

The shopping bag had some colourful prints on it with an image like a Caribbean Island, the handles were made from silk or whatever you call it (don't know my materials very well lol). The dress was put in a separate bag, this bag was also very sophisticated; leopard print in green, a very 70s style.

Shopping bag
Bag for the dress. The Versace logo is printed on  top right hand corner
When they gave out the wrist band they also gave out some free samples of Versace perfume.

A sample of Versace perfume- Smells good!
They have a strict refund policy. Everyone has 7 days to refund, must have; the receipt, the hanger, all the bags. Wow! Won't even let you keep the bag, a bag that is made from paper. (LOL)

Would I go again or earlier when there's another collaboration? Hmm...most probably would and probably go an hour earlier.

What exactly is uneven skin tone?

I read a little article in a local magazine the other day about uneven skin tone and thought I'll share it with you. This article is written by Sarah's Beauty.

An uneven skin tone, or hyper-pigmentation, is the result of an over production of melanin. Melanin is what gives skin and hair its colour, helps protect skin against damaging UV light and absorbs heats from the sun. However, an overproduction of melanin stimulated by excessive sun exposure, hormones, or scarring, leads to a mottled, uneven skin tone.

1) Sun exposure: When skin is repeatedly exposed to UV light, sun damage occurs. Brown spots appear as a result of too much melanin being produced to help protect skin from UV light.

2) Hormones: Melasma is hormone related hyper-pigmentation caused by increased hormone stimulation. It is most commonly experienced by women who are pregnant (which is why it's also known as the "mask of pregnancy") or taking contraceptive, can also be a reaction to cosmetics or medications.

3) Post-inflammatory Hyper-pigmentation: This is a darkening of skin that's the result of scarring, which can be caused by acne lesions or skin injury. Sarah's Beauty recommends EsteƩ Lauder New Even Skin Tone Illuminator.

Christmas is coming, maybe I should add that to my wishlist. *Hint Hint* You know who you are. Lol. x

Are you a member of Shoedazzle yet?

Have you heard of Shoedazzle? If you haven't yet that's not a surprise because it's only been in the UK for 2 months. Its an online shoe boutique founded by Kim Kardarshian (a reality TV star). It's not the same as those normal online shoe boutique where you click on the product you want, put it in your basket and checkout. The difference is that every month a shoe stylist from Shoedazzle will choose 5 pairs of shoes that is your style- can be either boots, heels, sandals or flats, etc- and they are £39.95 each. So how do they know your style? Well, first you have to sign up- it's free- then they will tell you to take a short questionnaire about your style. The answers you give will allow them to assess your style and based on the answers they will choose shoes, handbags and jewellery for you to choose each month. You know what, I can tell you the style questionnaire does really work. They always give me a gorgeous selection of shoes, ones that are just so me which makes it even harder for me to choose. For more info on Shoedazzle click on the link:

Are you interested already and want to sign up? Here's my invitation: Click here to open this invitation
I made my first order the other day and it arrived two days later, which I fLabelsind pretty quick (free delivery which is even better). I didn't choose the shoes from my showroom, not that I didn't like them but I wanted the Evangeline stiletto which apparently they said it almost made to my top five. It was only £31, great price and quality shoes-on your first order you get 20% off.

It looks gorgeous doesn't it?

That's how it looks on the website

Here's the shoe box
Leopard print insoles.
You will always find leopard print with the Kardashian's products. Clothes, shoes, bags, etc.

5 inch heels.
It's not the same red that is shown on the website but I'm still happy with it. Some people may find the studs on the heels a bit too much but for me that's the reason why I like it. I love OTT shoes lol

2 inch platform
I measured the platform and it is about 2 inch which makes it more comfortable to wear. In one of  my old blog posts, I mentioned about getting a pair of heels with high platform. If the heel is about 5 inch and the platform is about 2 inch then you're only walking in a 3 inch heel. I kept explaining that to my mum but still wasn't convinced. She's not happy at all that I got another pair of heels as it's not healthy for the feet and of course spending again. I don't think my boyfriend would be please either, he says the same things to me too lol. But shoes are girl's best friend so what do you expect!

It came with a free gift, make-up bag? Not sure what it's suppose to be but still can be useful.

People always say 'you get what you pay for', it's true. It is a good price but the material they used seems kind of fragile, can be easily scratched or even ripped. I haven't worn them yet so don't if it's a good pair of heels or not, will do a review when I do.

Are you interested now? Here's my invitation to Shoedazzle :Click Here now!

Coco Lee's fairy tale wedding

Many of you must have heard or watched Kim Kardashian's wedding. It was very glamorous, fairy tale sort of wedding. They are divorcing already!! Anyway, that's all in America.

Over in Hong Kong, a famous and talented Taiwanese singer Coco Lee ,36, married her Jewish boyfriend, Bruce Rockowitz, 53, on 27th October. According to the news, they spent... I mean HE spent around US$20 million on their wedding! Who is Bruce Rockowitz? He is from Canada, he is the president and CEO of Li & Fung LTD ( a global trading company- Li & Fung LTD wesbite) and is a billionaire! They had a 2 day celebration, wedding ceremony at the Sky 100 and celebrated at a 6 star hotel, The Ritz- Carlton hotel. There were quite a few A-list celebs that were invited; Oprah Winfrey, the designer Tommy Hilfiger and his wife,  Alicia Keys, Black Eyes Peas , Ne-yo and Bruno Mars who performed at the wedding.

Not only was it a lavish wedding, Lee was looking lavish herself. From the pictures of her wedding, she looked absolutely stunning, beautiful, glamorous, you name it! I love all her dresses. She is wearing my wedding dress lol. I've always said I want a tight fitted and strapless wedding dress and look at her's... spot on! lol.

A wedding dress by designer Vera Wang,  worth  $33,000.

Another gorgeous dress! Again stunning! She has the perfect curves for the dress, actually she just has an amazing body.

Walking down the aisle with her mum. Apparently she could hardly walk in the dress lol

Never mind about her husband, she looks gorgeous here.

On the far left, is Alicia Keys with Bruce's two daughter and Coco Lee and Bruce himself.

There's Ne-yo.
Looks like Lee was singing with Black eyes peas too.

Classy and glamorous dress! Love it!

Upgrade your boots this Autumn/Winter

This post was actually written last year winter but never got round to finishing it but still valid because Vogue says so!

When it's Autumn/ Winter boots are everywhere. Last year knee-high boots/ over-the-knee boots (OTK boots) was the new trend but not many got involved. This year it is back again so make sure you get a pair too. But when boots goes higher than the knee or even up to your thighs, definitely not many people are brave enough to rock them.

I have both OTK boots and TH boots (thigh high boots). At first I wasn't sure about them because people were calling them 'hoe boots', 'prostitute boots' or whatever the names are for them. So I started off with OTK boots. Then I got used to them and kind of thought they're not fierce enough, so decided to be more daring and bought a pair of TH boots. And I absolutely love them. Not only are they sexy, they keep you really warm and makes your legs look lean and long.

Here's me wearing my thigh high boots, I think my outfit is quite nice lol. I wore it to clubbing but it seriously was a bad idea because my legs were sweating and just wasn't comfortable.

The black leather thigh high boots goes with anything and has a catwoman feel to it lol. OTK and TH boots looks great over jeans, with long coats (Trench coats are hot this year), long tops and dresses. If you choose to wear a skirt with a pair of OTK boots or with TH boots, it might not be easy because not everyone can pull it off. It really depends on the occasion, for example it won't be suitable if you're going out for lunch/ a casual day out.

I think Kim pulled it off really well. Looks very sexy, a great Halloween outfit. And yes, got my inspiration from her outfit.
Other A-List Celebs rocking TH boots
If you think its a bit too much or not confident enough to wear them. Start off with knee high boots, flats ones. Then move on to ones with heels and then thigh high ones.

Don't want to spend money on new pair of boots? Well if you've got a pair of normal boots that reaches just below your knees and they are folded (cuff) at the top like this one:

Here's a cheat. Unfold it and it will extend just on or above your knee depending on the length of your legs.

That's me wearing my mum's boots, she's got shorter legs than me so  the flap  goes just above her knees.

It's the count down for another H&M designer collection

It's November, who's saved up and looking forward to the big day, 17th NOVEMBER!!!
For those who don't know what is happening on that day, well, get your diaries out because Versace for H&M Collection will be launching in 300 H&M stores across the UK on the 17th November.

I already know what I'm getting. I want the Gilet and the pink figure hugging silk dress!

Gilet £39.99
Red Silk Dress £79.99
