B.B. Cream wave is going to be big in the UK so 'Take Care'

What is BB Cream?
In one of my old posts, I've talked a little bit about BB Cream already but I'm going to talk more about it this time. BB Cream stands for Blemish Balm Cream. It has been very popular with Oriental Women.
Why? Because it's a cream that does everything. First like it says, it blemishes your skin. Most importantly, it has a sun block effect and whitening which is what all Oriental women are obsessed with.(Oriental women are obsessed with having clear and white skin. Freckles and dark spot are their enemies!) It can act also as as a primer/ base, foundation, concealer, keeps your skin moist for a very long time, evens your skin tone out. Basically, gives you a flawless looking skin! It even feels flawless, makes your skin really soft & silky.

BB Cream from other cosmetic brands
About 3 months ago, when my mum came back from Hong Kong she brought back some Hong Kong fashion and beauty magazines for me. Inside I saw cosmetic brands like MAC, Dior, Clinique, Estée Lauder, Biotherm, Bobbi Brown, Neutrogena, Lancome and many more have introduced BB Cream for their Asian customers. (Above and below) The magazine explained that some these brands have added new functions like; oil control, whitening and anti-ageing effect.
BB Cream from other cosmetic brands

I don't think you can buy all these in the UK, only some countries do them. Most probably countries in the east; China, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, etc as they are popular with Oriental women. I went to Debenham's the other day to see if I could find any of these. I just went to the Dior section and they didn't have it. But I', sure they will be available in the UK very soon. Because Garnier has just launched its first B.B. Cream - Miracle Skin Perfector (now you know why I said 'Take Care' in the title because that's Garnier's slogan). Some of you may have already seen it in the stores, magazines, TV or posters.

Like other B.B. Cream it can be used as a foundation, concealer and primer and has UV protection SPF 15 (I personally think that's not enough, at least SPF 25). It keeps the skin hydrated up to 24 hours and illuminates the skin. Garnier describes it as a daily all-in-one B.B. Cream.

I haven't tried it yet, because I still got 2 BB Creams from Missha. If anyone is using it please let me know if its good or not. lol. The B.B. Cream is definitely going to be the next big thing.

Fashion Shenzhen- Vauxhall Fashion Scout

Last year around this time, I was helping out at the China Image Film Festival and this year I helped out at the London Fashion Week. No, not exactly AT the London Fashion Week, hehe I wished! I helped out at one of the shows/exhibition at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout, the Fashion Shenzhen.

A little info about Fashion Shenzhen...
This is the third year that Fashion Shenzhen is taking place in London and the exhibition displayed lots of emerging brands and designers from Shenzhen, China. Read on and you'll see the pictures I took of the clothes.

What was I doing?
I was distributing leaflets outside the entrance to non-Chinese people (yep doesn't sound too exciting); I was told to aim at westerners in order to promote these Chinese Brands. When it was almost time for the catwalk show, I stood by the entrance directing people into the catwalk. I know doesn't sound too fun, it wasn't. I must say I enjoyed working at the China Image Film Festival last year more. But I still enjoyed myself because I enjoy meeting people and talking to strangers lol. And I saw some weird people, actually I take that back. I mean I saw people with some unique style lol.

These were the flyers that I had to hand out.
I had a look around at the exhibition during my break. Had some free food and drinks, they had finger foods like; prawn dumpling (dim sum), crispy spring roll, prawn toast, samosas, etc. Ok, I didn't go there for the food lol. But it was there and couldn't resist. Below are some pictures I took when I was at the exhibition.
Qi Pao- Traditional Chinese Dress
The dress above has a very Royal feel to it, probably because Chinese Emperors used wear gowns with these patterns/ dragon images on.

Other Qi Paos- the design wasn't all that but I guess they may look better once you wear them.

This looks like a maternity dress. If it's not one, I still think its a good dress for pregnant women if they were to attend some glamorous event/ red carpet event.

Dress from Lizzy
Out of all the outfits that were displayed this was the best one- in my opinion. This is a design from Lizzy, they had the best designs. But having saying that I wouldn't really wear their dresses because they were too over the top. More suitable for red carpet, proms, weddings, etc.

Dress from Océane
This is another one of the nicest outfit that was displayed at the exhibition. It's very sexy, sassy and glamorous. It will would perfect with a pair of black Louboutin or even silver.

Here's me at the exhibition posing lol. I was wearing a Julien MacDonald dress from the Diamond Collection, shoes are from Joy & Peace in Hong Kong. Don't think you can see my earrings; I'm wearing Rocawear earrings (yep, still into my hip hop brands lol). Without being big headed, I must say I think my hair looked quite nice that day lol. I didn't really style it, I was too much in a rush to do so. I just put a little bit of hair cream and just gave my hair a few scrunch. Less is more!

Posing again
Moving on to the weird people I said I saw there...
Some of you probably have seen this "lady"
Not the one on the left smiling lol, the one wearing a blue dress with the  big hair.
Not clear enough? Here's a closer view

Fixing up before going into the catwalk show since "she" will be sitting at the front row.

This is the closest picture I could get
The security guards there told me that this "lady" gets invited to sit at the front row of the catwalk shows every year. They said it's actually a man inside and every year he wears something similar outfits like this; the big hair. Have any of you guys seen him/ her?

I thought she looked like the character "L" from Death Note a Japanese Manga
The guy in the middle is "gangsta".  Love his shoes! LOL
I'll upload the pictures and footages I took of the catwalk show another time because the video takes time lol.

Serum is another secret to flawless skin!

In one of my old blogs, I discussed about the secret in getting flawless skin is to cleanse your face properly everyday and night. Another secret is 'serum'! Serum has become more and more popular in last 2 years.

What is serum?
For those who don't know what serum is, it is a skin product that enhances the moisturizer. It comes in two types; a water based and an oil based. If you have oily skin you should use the water based serum and if you have dry skin you should choose an oil based serum. Serum is a vitamin packed, its enriched more than a moisturizer because of its concentration.

You apply it on toned face (cleansed + toner) and then your moisturizer. You don't need to put too much, about a coin size will do or a little bit more if needed and spread it around your face

Since it gives you that extra hydration and really smooths your skin it can act as a primer too. Makes your make up look better and less cakey (wanting make-up to look less cakey also depends on the way you apply your foundation; its always good to put the foundation on the back of your hand first rather than directly on to your face. Use a sponge or brush, dab a bit of foundation and drag it a few times on your hand to make it thinner).

Talking about the serum being a primer the other day I saw that Max Factor has got a new foundation with serum in it. It even has sun block effect, SPF 15.

It's only £12.99, to me that's not bad. Because a tube of serum can be £30+ sometimes, depending on the brand.

Apart from giving you silky skin, most serum has dark sport correcting effect, age repairing effect, gets rid of red spot or redness in the skin, etc.

So, if you haven't got your serum yet, go get one now. Your partner would be all over you, touching and kissing your face all the time. Lol!

What is the best way to apply body lotion?

Do you always try different body lotion to see which one gives you the best result; smooth and silky skin like a baby's skin. You see a new body lotion is out and it says that it is an improved version; saying it keeps yours skin hydrated for more than 24hrs, or an instant hydration. You try it but your skin feels more or less the same as before.

Most of the times it's not the product, its the way you apply the lotion. The best way to apply lotion is straight after shower; not 5 minutes or 10 minutes after shower, straight away- most of you probably do that anyway but....

...don't totally dry your skin. Keep it a little damp, so pat to dry. Don't do it too long because you want to keep your skin warm so the pores are still open. This will ensure the lotion is absorbed properly.

When applying lotion don't put it into your hand and rub your hands together ( I know a lot do that either to warm the lotion up or for an even distribution). Put the lotion directly on your body and sweep it through your skin.

When its all absorb, your skin will be like baby's bum. Silky and smooth, so irresistible. lol. Try it out.
