Hi my lovelies. Happy Saturday! It's been an absolutely amazing week, lovely sunshine here in the UK.
In this hot weather, one of the best dessert is grass jelly. Chinese people eat this a lot. I had it with some condensed milk and agave nectar. Very refreshing and has a firmer texture than those regular jelly and they are good for you too. I've been looking at flight ticket prices. I'm planning to go away on a triple date to Amsterdam; two friends from university and their other half. We are planning to go end of August, just after when we hand in our dissertation. It will be my first time going on a triple date, first time to Amsterdam and first time travelling with my boyfriend lol. Also I am planning to go to Hong Kong early December for 2 weeks with my cousin. I need some good holidays to treat myself since I've been working so hard at university in the past 10 months.
Anyhow, this week my workout was a bit aggressive and bootcamp like. I know I say it's like bootcamp every time lol but this time it is sort of. Anyways read on and you will know why lol.
On Monday, I went back to spinning. I stopped for 3 weeks and I thought I would be struggling to keep up. But no I was better, my legs were a lot stronger. I was able to keep up the whole lesson. I think its due to doing huge amounts of squats and lunges I did last couple of weeks. I have squatting and lunging with weights. So I guess that's a tip, do lots of squats and lunges to strengthen your legs. The best part was, I was able to sprint on the bike for 30 seconds.
Tuesday midnight, my dad and I made some mussels. I made mussels in white wine and tomato sauce and he made it the Chinese style, mussels in black bean sauce.

Mine tasted better than my dad's lol and he loved it too. He loved it so much he drank the sauce too lol.
We couldn't have enough of mussels so we had it the next morning. Lol. Only joking, it's because we had one more bag of mussels and wanted to have them while still fresh. When I say fresh I mean they are still alive. When I was soaking them in water, I saw them moving. I saw them opening and closing! It was so cool! Lol

On Thursday, I went gym with my boyfriend at the body building one. I love working out with him. But this week wasn't so good because we were both tired. He started off training with me but later I just decided to do my own workout. I jumped on to the cross trainer and it woke me up straight away and had the energy to do more strength training. I mainly worked on my arms and back.
Since I was doing a lot of upper body workout on Thursday so today I was concentrating on my core and lower body. I worked out for about 1.5hr, here's my routine today:

- Warmed up with 5 minutes of power walking on an incline of level 6.
- 2 sets of 20 rep power cleans- a cheat to a full body workout
- 30 rep shoulder press with 2.5kg dumbell in each hand
- 30 rep curls
- 7 minutes of squats with a 3kg medicine ball
- 60 rep on hip abductor
- 7 minutes of walking lunges with a 3kg medicine ball
- Another 60 rep of squats
- 60 rep on the crunch machine
- 15 minutes of multiple ab workout with a 3kg medicine ball; Russian Twist, crunches, plank.
I love that tired feeling after a good workout. I feel absolutely great and fit!
