Giveaway Competition- New Glossybox Products

Hi beautiful people! How many of you are Glossybox subscribers? Have you got lots of unwanted product and they are just sitting there untouched? I do, I have lots. I want to be giving them away to those who would use them. This competition I will give 5 products sent in the original Glossybox with all the shredded paper and tissue paper. I haven't used any of them, still sealed and in their original packaging. I've taken a few close ups of each product.

Gosh Cosmetic Sundown Lipstick. I am not a lipstick person, I've given a few to my mum already. I'm not giving her this one because she doesn't like the colour and she has too many. According to the Glossybox info card this lipstick gives an intense and long lasting colour to your lips. I've found a photo of how the lip colour looks from Lily Melrose's beauty blog, see below.

Lily Melrose Beauty Blog

Caudalie Divine Oil for body, face and hair. The tag is still on, I have opened it to smell it but haven't used it. I prefer to use natural products (as natural as possible) on myself for example; argan oil and coconut oil for hair, coconut oil and castor oil for face and cocoa butter and vitamin E oil on my body.

Face tint with sunscreen of 50+. Initially this was very attractive to me because of the high SPF but I don't really use liquid foundation as I have sensitive skin. I have enough BB Cream at home already and I hardly used them too.

Nail Polish Headline. I do paint my nails but this colour is too dark for me. The colour is a bit different in this photo, it's actually dark purple. The colour of blueberry juice to be exact.

And finally, Wilkinson Sword razor. I don't shave, I wax so this is no good for me. I haven't opened it, it is all sealed up. I know I've still loads of times but I want to make sure you know it is all new, unused and sealed. Lol.

How to enter competition?

This competition is only for UK. To enter this competition, you will need to do all the following 3-4:

  • LIKE my Facebook page if haven't already done so (click here)

GlossyBox the London Edition

Hi my lovely readers! I came back from my little Paris trip on Thursday and found Glossybox waiting for me. =D. This month's is called the London edition, I really like the box. One thing with Glossybox that I hate & love is that I have a collection of boxes in my room, they are too nice to be thrown away and they are taking up spaces!!

HD Brows Blusher
HD Brows specialises in brow products but they started to do others now like blusher. I love how this comes with a mirror and a sponge. Full size £17.95 available at www.hdbrows.com

Eylure Pre-glued lashes
I don't really wear falsies but I still love them. This is pre-glued meaning no need to apply the glue and no mess...hmm I wonder how long it will last then. One Set £5.06, available at www.eylure.com

Toni & Guy HairMeet Wardrobe Classic Shine & Gloss Serum
I've tried it the next day and it seems like it has made my hair really smooth and its non greasy. Full Size £7.19 for 30 ml available at www.boots.com

Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Onyx Eye Liner

Ok, I don't know about you but whenever I see the word "Onyx" I think of......the rock snake pokemon. Lol. Yes, I used to love it when I was younger. This eyeliner is in a felt tip which makes it easier to apply. If you're a beginner to liquid eyeliner, start off with felt tip ones. Full Size $14 for 3g, available at www.beabombshell.com

Elizabeth Arden Untold.

Another perfume sample, smells good but I wonder when I will get round to using it. Glossybox PLEASE STOP giving me perfume samples. Full size £48 for 50ml, £69 for 100ml, available at Debenhams

That's it for now, thanks for reading!
What did you get this month? Are you tired of perfume samples like me?

High Flyer- Glossybox August

Hello all! This post is actually a week late, I got the box last Saturday. My dissertation is taking over so I haven't been blogging last week. Any how, this month's edition is called High-Flyers, it has goodies that is designed for girls on the go. The goodies are also produced in different countries to match the theme.

Sweden- Emite Make up Eyelash curler.
I am so happy that I got this because my one was pretty worn out and I keep forgetting to get a new one lol.
The best thing is, the retail price is £20 and I paid £10 for this and 4 other items, just can't be that!

Urban Veda Purifying Day Cream
This a brand new skincare range. There seems to be new skincare range every day. This is made in the UK but said it is founded on ancient Indian principles.

USA-TRESemme Kertain Smooth
A 60 second hair treatment.

UK- Jelly Pong Pong
I always think its ping pong lol. I love this fat eye liner pencil and it can be a eye shadow too.

Brazil-Oceane
A makeup remover pen. I have always wanted to try one of these pens, good for removing smudges.

What did you get this month? Are you a Glossybox subscriber or BirchBox?

Hiya. It's Glossybox time! This month's Glossybox theme is pretty cool, seaside splash. For those who don't know about GlossyBox, its a monthly subscription service where subscribers pay £10 + pp every month to receive a box of 5-6 samples of beauty products delivered to you. Most of the time you get a the full size of the product so well worth the price. It's very addictive. lol.

I am very happy with the products this month because I got 2 organic beauty products.

Can you see what it says? Organic sunscreen. Been looking to get one and here it is through the post. It contains extract of cucumber and organic acai oil which has anti-ageing benefits.

Glossybox June

Hello beauties.
I didn't blog about the May Glossybox as I got lazy lol. In fact, I'm thinking of cancelling my subscription because I want to go organic and natural (well... trying to as my skin is quite sensitive) and most of the products aren't natural or organic. But then I love the surprises I get every month. Hmmm... dilemma dilemma.

 Anyways, here's the June one.

Nuxe- Huile Prodigieuse OR
I received a Nuxe Oil a couple of months ago but haven't got round to using it. This one is different it has some shimmering golden particles. It contains 6 precious plant oils and vitamin E.
Full size: 100ml for £34.00

Helen é cosmetics- shimmer eye powder
This look really pretty, but I have been thinking about changing my make up products to natural ones. I'll still give this a try anyway I guess.
Full size: 1.5g for £5

Figs & Rouge Coco Rose
About a year ago, I also received a Figs & Rouge Lip balm from GlossyBox. I absolutely loved it and the best thing about Figs & Rouge is that it is 100% natural. It does not contain petroleum. You can get Figs & Rouge products in Planet Organic so should be guaranteed it is natural. I am looking forward to use this! It says it can also be used on cuticles, elbows and knees.
Full Size: 12.5 ml for£5.00

Monu Professional Skincare Hydrating Moisturiser SPF 15
Full Size: 50ml for £29.95

Mememe Cosmetics Long Lasting Nail Gloss.
I absolutely love this. It gives my nail a really nice healthy and glossy look.
£5.00

That's it for this month. I'm thinking of subscribing to Nutribox and cancel Glossybox. Hmmmmg

Late April Glossybox

Hello beauties! This month's Glossybox arrived a bit later than usual, I thought it got lost in the post or it got sent to the wrong address. It does happen you know because I received someone else's one time and so ended up with two Glossybox that month lol.

Anyways this month the box design had a vintage and floral design that was designed by Pearl Lowe.

Modelco Cheek + Lip Tint in Rosy Red
Got a cheek and lip tint by Model Co. I've never used a cheek or lip tint before and after trying it on my lips I quite like it. It's extremely light, I couldn't feel it on my lips. Unlike lip gloss or lipstick, sticky and sometimes   feels heavy on the lips. You know that feeling. They've given me a full size of this product; 10ml at the price of £15. Pricey or what?

Essie Nail Lacquer
I got a nice summery peach colour nail polish. I tried it on my toe nails and looked quite nice. But the brush wasn't too good, it left lines on my nails or maybe its the quality of the polish. I don't know.

Sunsense Daily Face SPF
People still use tinted moisturisers? I thought it has taken over by BB Cream or even CC Cream now. But anyways the SPF 50+ is what I really like about it. This is a brand from Australia.

Nip + Fab Coconut Latte Body Butter
I find body butter the best for skin, other regular body cream doesn't work as good, for me anyways. I opened this and only 2/3 of the container was filled. Despite that it smells good, I love the smell of coconut. Makes me want to eat this up!

Yves Rocher France- So Elixir Purple Parfum
For the first time I'm actually happy to have received a perfume sample because of its packaging. Its in small cute purple bottle, normally the samples they send are in those regular tube. Smells ok but I think its more for my mum so I gave it to her.

That's it for now. Thanks for reading!

Glossybox March edition

Hi beauties,
I got my Glossy box over the weekend and managed to find some time now to talk about it. The Valentine's edition was very pinky but this time I think it is also quite pinky.

From left to right:

TRESemmé Salon Finish Extra Hold Hairspray
I got the travel size which is handy. I've heard that TRESemmé's hair sprays holds the best so I'm looking forward to use it.

Elizabeth Arden, Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant Fragrance Free
I've never used Elizabeth Arden's product before. I just tried a bit on my hand, the cream isn't the regular white cream. It's more like a thick orangey gel texture and its quite greasy. Not too keen on it already.

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics, Lip Blush
This is a lip stain, never tried lip stain but apparently is suppose to be better than lipsticks. I love the pink though lol. This lip stain contains beeswax and ceresin wax, sounds good.

Juicy Couture, Couture La La
Loving the pink again, lol, and it smells good too. But the smell isn't unique at all, it smell like something I've smelt before. Nothing special at all.

There's actually another product, Nails Inc, St James. A classic pillar red. I tried it but its a bit too red for me. It's not in the photo because I forgot I took it out when I took the photo. And I can't be bothered to take a photo of it lol.

I am satisfied with this box, I love GlossyBox. Anyways that's it for now! Speak to you later!

Glossybox Valentine's Edition

Hello ladies... and gentlemen. This post is about Glossybox, Valentines edition. I didn't write about January one as I was too busy with University work.  Anyways, I love the box. Its so pretty and pink and yes I know the photo is upside down lol.

Starting from left to right...

The white rectangular box is a face cream from Docteur Renaud Raspberry Soft cream. Apparently this is designed for the cold winter months. This is available at Marks & Spencer, £25 for 50ml.

Top left: The miniature round container is a mineral blush powder by Micabella Cosmetics. It's made from 100% natural (just what I love) mica, a crystal-like mineral. It contains SPF 15- another feature I love.  Available at micabella.co.uk, £34.95 for 9g.

The beige/gold colour bottle is a highlighter by Mememe cosmetics. The colour they gave is oyster gold, hope it suits my skin colour. Available at mememecosmetics.co.uk, £5.50 for 12ml.

The silver tube is a moisturising lipstick by Helen E Cosmetics, the colour is Dusk. Pretty dark and gothic to me. So.....I doubt I would use it. Available at helen-e.com, £8 for 3.5g

After that is a lollipop. Lol.

The last item is a body spray by Q: Radiance. Not too keen on this product. But hey, I got the full size of the actual product. Its only £2.29 for 100ml available at Boots.com and Sainsburys.co.uk

The last 2012 Glossy box

Hi everyone. Its almost Christmas, its almost the end of 2012 and it the last GlossyBox of 2012. It came in a silvery box and really gives a Christmassy feel.

Starting from top left...

Lemon by Mary Greenwell perfume.
It smells really old school and I don't smell any lemon scent. Don't like it at all.
Full size: 100ml- £90, 50ml- £60, Purse Spray £30 (way too expensive)

Rituals Magic Touch
A body cream that is combined with rice milk and fragrance of cherry blossom. Tried a little bit and it seems quite good. I like thick body creams, it works well on my skin.
Fullsize: 200ml- £15, 70ml- £5

Ayuuri Moisturising Sandalwood Face Wash
Enriched with oil of sandalwood & vitamin E. My friend told me Ayuuri is a really good brand and its natural, look forward to try it then.
Fullsize: 200ml- £4.95

Seche Nail Lacquer
Not quite sure about the colour and I don't really wear nail polish either. My girl friends if you want it tell me.
Fullsize: 14ml- £9.95

Sleek Make up True Colour Lipstick- Cherry 790
I don't wear lipstick but have wanting to try though. This colour is too dark for me and don't think it would suit me either. The advantage of this is it contains vitamin E.
Fullsize: 3.5g- £4.99

GlossyBox Blusher- Glossy Pink
This is a bonus gift from GlossyBox. I like this pink, will definitely use it regularly.

Glossybox November- My very own special edition!

Hi everyone! I know I haven't blogged as often as I used to do. I have been so busy with university work; literally had assignments due every single week and on top of that we have lots of independent reading and  lots of group work during the week.

Anyways, back to the main topic. Yes, I've received this month's Glossybox and not only did I get good products I got TWO Glossyboxes for the price of ONE. Yes, I said two for the price of one. You must be wondering why. Glossybox wasn't doing a 'buy one get one free' month, their warehouse just made an error by sending someone else's Glossybox to my address. Now, don't start thinking that I just kept quiet and kept it to myself, lol. I actually e-mailed Glossybox about it and asked if they wanted to arrange someone to pick it up. But guess what they said? 'Please keep both of the boxes.' Yay!!! As soon as I saw that e-mail, I ripped it open. Lol.

Let me first show the products I got in MY Glossybox. Oh so sorry about the brightness of the picture, I know some are a bit dark.

Monu Firming Moisturiser Face Cream.

Last month I received another product of theirs-Monu Friming eye gel- its pretty good, so I'm looking forward to use it. It says it has sunscreen but doesn't indicate the Sun Protection Factor so I may need to apply an extra layer of sun screen of SPF 15/30. The size of the sample above is 20ml.
The full size and price is, £18 for 50ml.

Crabtree &Evelyn, Himalayan Blue Hand Therapy.

This is a good size to put in my bag. It smells good but leaves the hands feeling a little greasy. If this is a sample size, it's pretty big. A couple of years ago, my Godmother bought  me a L'Occitane gift set as a souvenir from Hong Kong, inside was a hand cream also in an aluminium tube ( I think it's aluminium)but the size was half the size of this one. Didn't last me very long, probably like two weeks.
The price and original size of Crabtree & Evelyn Hand cream, £14 for 100g.

Alison Claire Natural Beauty, Mango Body Butter

This is a new brand. Smells really nice of mango and I love how it comes with pump. It reminds me of The Body Shop's mango body moisturiser. I got a quarter of that product.
Price and original size, £15 for 200ml

Nails Inc, Kensington Caviar.

This has won a Sunday Times Style Beauty Award. I'm not really a nail polish person, I tend to get my nails done at the nail shop. So it will be sitting in my room.
£11-£12 for 10ml

Dermalogica, Daily Microfoliant

Its a rice based powder and apparently models love it. Last month, I received a Dermalogica gift set of 3 step day and night kit. And it was pretty good, so I'm looking forward in using this one.
Price and original size, £38.50 for 75g

The second box also had Dermologica microfoliant, Mango body butter and nail polish. But instead of the hand cream and Monu face cream, it had;

Dr. Jart+ BB Cream

My favourite! I've been wanting to try it since the day it launched in the UK. I didn't buy it because it was quite pricey and I already have too many BB creams. Out of all the BB creams I have, I only use Skin 79 Caviar-bought that from Hong Kong-and I only use it when I go out for certain occasions.  Yes, I sort of like collecting them. Lol.

Price and original size of Dr Jart, £18 for 50 ml.

This is a sample I got from Missha in Hong Kong, some BB Cream in a small sachet. So cheap! Dr. Jart came in a 15ml plastic tube and nice packing.

Wei Beauty, White Lotus Hydrating Face Treatment Pad

They just gave me 1 pad, should really give me a couple more to sample it properly. =p
Price and original size, £55 1 pack of 6 pads.
