Upgrade your boots this Autumn/Winter

This post was actually written last year winter but never got round to finishing it but still valid because Vogue says so!

When it's Autumn/ Winter boots are everywhere. Last year knee-high boots/ over-the-knee boots (OTK boots) was the new trend but not many got involved. This year it is back again so make sure you get a pair too. But when boots goes higher than the knee or even up to your thighs, definitely not many people are brave enough to rock them.

I have both OTK boots and TH boots (thigh high boots). At first I wasn't sure about them because people were calling them 'hoe boots', 'prostitute boots' or whatever the names are for them. So I started off with OTK boots. Then I got used to them and kind of thought they're not fierce enough, so decided to be more daring and bought a pair of TH boots. And I absolutely love them. Not only are they sexy, they keep you really warm and makes your legs look lean and long.

Here's me wearing my thigh high boots, I think my outfit is quite nice lol. I wore it to clubbing but it seriously was a bad idea because my legs were sweating and just wasn't comfortable.

The black leather thigh high boots goes with anything and has a catwoman feel to it lol. OTK and TH boots looks great over jeans, with long coats (Trench coats are hot this year), long tops and dresses. If you choose to wear a skirt with a pair of OTK boots or with TH boots, it might not be easy because not everyone can pull it off. It really depends on the occasion, for example it won't be suitable if you're going out for lunch/ a casual day out.

I think Kim pulled it off really well. Looks very sexy, a great Halloween outfit. And yes, got my inspiration from her outfit.

If you think its a bit too much or not confident enough to wear them. Start off with knee high boots, flats ones. Then move on to ones with heels and then thigh high ones.

Don't want to spend money on new pair of boots? Well if you've got a pair of normal boots that reaches just below your knees and they are folded (cuff) at the top like this one:

Here's a cheat. Unfold it and it will extend just on or above your knee depending on the length of your legs.

That's me wearing my mum's boots, she's got shorter legs than me so  the flap  goes just above her knees.
